On Wednesday, June 27, 2012, Racism Free Edmonton, which is committed to speaking out against racism and engaging the community in discussing the topic, released results of a survey that measured opinions of the city as a welcoming place and perceptions of discrimination against certain groups.
The launch was held at City Hall with a speech from Councillor Amarjeet Sohi, followed by a presentation from the researchers, Dr. Harvey Krahn and Dr. Randolph Haluza DeLay.
